“Rosie Leyden and Ian Ferguson traveled to Cambodia and spent a total of approximately 6 weeks working directly with CamKids trustees and employees, focusing on aiding the charity’s understanding of its long-term vision and mission, general procedures and protocols from financial to HR and the training and mentoring of our local CamKids Cambodian management team.
Rosie and Ian worked incredibly well as a team and were ever cognizant of possible cultural differences and the challenges of working in such an environment. They always acted with integrity and were empathetic yet remained consistent in their views and advise where they deemed change or improvement in CamKids operations was appropriate.
Undoubtedly, they left CamKids with a more focused view of our vision and mission, and our local staff with a stronger understanding of management roles and the personal attributes necessary to succeed and grow in such a role. As consultants they were highly effective and as people, were very accommodating, flexible and friendly. We have continued to communicate since their return to the UK and they remain involved with CamKids.
