"Ian and Rosie of Teamworks provided consultancy and training to our Cape Town based NGO Common Good in the months of November and December of 2019.

The key focus of their work was to perform a general ‘health check’ of our organization and to come up with recommendations for improvement.

The months of November and December are very busy months in our organization. This made us a bit apprehensive at first about the amount of time ‘this was going to cost us’. However, the way Ian and Rosie approached their task was extremely efficient, well planned and did not require a lot of “handholding”. They planned their process mostly themselves – and had a very clear method of working. 

Their very personable way of working, interviewing staff and step by step getting great information on the table was simply excellent. Both as persons and as consultants are a joy to work with. The quality of their work, their excellent insights on the basis of a wealth of experience as well as benchmarking with other NGOs provided us with a great ‘snapshot’ of our organization as well as clear and pragmatic and actionable recommendations for improvement. They were able to communicate well with all levels of the organization, as well as with board members. They were always open for questions and on many occasions have given good advice on various topics to our leadership team.  

One of the recommendations was put into practice right way. It was identified that leadership training was a focus point for our organization. So, at the end of their tenure with us they provided a team of around 15 leaders with two great days of excellent leadership training.

Lastly, the way Ian and Rosie quickly adapted themselves to the culture and values of our organization and blended in extremely well.
